Dr. Yousef Alhorr is an environmentalist, scientist, and the Founding Chairman of the Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD). He spearheads the development of the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS), recognized as the premier green building certification system in the MENA region. Additionally, Dr. Alhorr is the Founding Chairman of the Global Carbon Council (GCC), an internationally accredited voluntary carbon offsetting program approved by CORSIA and ICROA. With a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering, Dr. Alhorr leads cuttingedge R&D initiatives, including the patented Synergia ultra-efficient cooling technology, which earned him the "Energy Innovator of the Year" award from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and Best Energy Efficiency Award from the League of Arab States.
